The day began very humid and cloudy, with a threat of rain in the air and on the radar, but weather conditions along the coast are very changeable and unpredictable. It was worth trying to hike regardless, because it was warm and I planned to stay on mostly level ground. At least, I wouldn’t attempt anything like the crazy climbs and descents of the Black and White path.

Yesterday’s adventures left me wanting to explore the area of the Black and White Path further, and Rich was amenable to spending some more time reading and relaxing at Bear Brook picnic area while I poked around on the mountain. The day began mostly cloudy and just slightly cooler than yesterday.

We woke up to another very nice day (still very humid, but not foggy like yesterday) and, unfortunately, still pain in Rich’s leg. I brought back a blueberry muffin and some coffee and juice for him from the hotel lobby so he could take medication; I had planned on going to the Flowered Apron but since that doesn’t open until 8:00, we had some time to wait.
